Technological Studies

Our shop program offers a chance to explore and experience technical studies in a newly built, modern and well-equipped facility.

Students are invited to explore both theory and the practical application of skills in a variety of areas such as Manufacturing Technology, Transportation Technology, and Construction Technology.

The Manufacturing Technology program features a welding shop with Stick, TIG, and MIG welding machines and individual welding booths for hands-on instruction and learning. The shop is equipped with a milling machine, a lathe, drill presses, and various other mechanical and precision measuring tools.

In the Construction Technology program, students experience and apply both theory and skills commonly associated with residential and light industrial construction.

In the Transportation Technology program, students explore the theory, operation, maintenance, and repair of some of the common areas of everyday vehicles and machinery. Students will be exposed to a variety of modes of power and transportation, including cars, light trucks, large trucks, and farm and construction machinery.

Students are invited to take courses in technical studies to broaden their interests and education, whether or not they are planning to pursue the skilled trades or engineering.
