Quinte Christian High School does not board students; we will assist the family in locating a home-stay family in the Quinte region, who will serve as the contact between the student and the school administration.

Each student also needs a sponsor in the area who will be responsible for all out-of-school supervision, school business, communication, and housing. At least one of the adults in this family must be 25 years or older and be granted legal guardian status over the student throughout the school year. Parents must privately arrange for the placement of their student with a legal guardian. It is required that a member of the sponsoring family be interviewed before the decision to accept a student will be granted.

QCHS discourages students from changing home-stay families during the school year; students who change home-stay families may be asked to leave the school immediately. Although the school will do its best to place the student in a suitable home-stay family, we cannot guarantee a successful placement. If an international student is not adjusting well to her/his home-stay family or to QCHS, the student may be required to return to her/his country of origin.
