Cooperative Education
The Cooperative Education Program assists students in their career choices by providing the opportunity to explore and gain practical, hands-on experience in a variety of vocations and workplace settings.
Students are able to combine and apply theoretical classroom knowledge to the realities of the workplace, thus gaining a better and more informed understanding of a particular career path.
Up to four Cooperative Education credits may be earned, with a maximum of two credits per workplace environment.
The program includes both in-class sessions (pre-and post-placement) and actual hands on workplace experience and duties.
Placement supervisors are encouraged to expect, within reason, the same level of responsibility and performance from the student as from a similarly prepared and trained employee.
