Tuition Bursary

Tuition is set at the spring membership meeting in May. The tuition for 2011-2012 was set at $12 200. Transportation is included in the tuition. In the event that a student withdraws from QCHS during the school year, either by the request of the parents or the school administration, a minimum of $2,500 is non-refundable plus the remaining tuition prorated by the number of months the student attended school.

Tuition Bursary

A tuition bursary is awarded to those families who seek aid and demonstrate the need for assistance. The Finance Committee awards the tuition bursary, which carries with it no obligation of repayment. However, it is our hope that beneficiaries will in the future become donors to the fund, and give back to others who need assistance

Tuition Bursary: Application Process

The parents complete the application for a tuition bursary, outlining the need for assistance. This application is then forwarded to the financial administrator of the school. The financial administrator presents the request anonymously to the finance committee. The finance committee meets in early June to award bursaries to those who qualify. The financial assistance budget is fixed at a certain amount each year by the board, and is given out as fairly and justly as possible. All information is kept in the strictest confidence. A tuition bursary is awarded for one year. The application must be made each year that assistance is needed.

• A two parent family can apply for up to 33% of the cost of tuition.  
• A single parent family can apply for up to 50% of the cost of tuition. 

Tuition Bursary Application

Quinte Christian High School is a Registered Charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). As such the school may issue charitable donation receipts for a portion of your tuition (the after "cost-per-pupil" amount). This means that for most families, the after-tax cost is less than the pledged tuition amount. Because everyone’s tax situation is different and the cost-per-pupil changes each year, the chart below is only an estimate:
